    Balalaika is the penultimate Russian instrument for folk (traditional) music. the accordion is also a main traditional instrument, but it is found in many cultures, too. Mexico, Czech, Russian, Cajun etc. there is a very popular "accordion" type instrument with buttons at each end, no "piano" keys. itis gormoshka, (google гармошке and there is a picture) which translated to harmonica, but it is NOT a mouth instrument. so in the links, you can see a picture if you google and select "images".
