Does breastfeeding a baby have any affect on your pregnancy?

I am 6 weeks pregnant and nursing a 16-month-old. He nurses about 4 or 5 times a day (much less than he used to).

Does lactating affect pregnancy at all?

you should try to wean the little one soon, because in a few months the baby inside will start to grow quickly and need a lot of nourishment. Either that or you will have to eat more to support both. Your Dr. or midwife can guide you on that too. Congratulations. I can hardly believe the baby is already over a year old!

hhhmmm, good question. well the suckling at then end of a pregnancy actually helps the uterus to shrink back down (as crazy as that sounds!) so i would talk to a professional cause i don't know what it would do while still preggo!
