seeing more results during a rest week?

I have been doing p90x for 8 weeks and just finished my rest week for the second time. I didnt really do much during the off week besides work out side for a few afternoons, and being from texas that alone qualifies as a work out. I bumped up the calorie intake by 400 calories a day and increased the water intake also by about 32 ounces a day. I saw noticable results in just 7 days. My question is do i continue the added calorie diet and water intake or go back to my regular diet or continue down the path i took on during the off week. any suggestions please

    as long as you're still losing weight an are comfortable
