To make a long story short, I was in a social organization that charged membership dues. It was an undergraduate organization for the college I attend. Once I recieved my acceptance into the graduate program and that semester ended I ended my paying of dues to that organization. I was to be considered an alumni and was still able to participate in certain activities, which is not uncommon. I was however unable to vote, because I was not paying dues. The following semester I and this organization had a falling out and I am no longer active in the organization. However, now the organization is threatening to send me to collections for un paid dues, only come to find out they have been charging me dues for 3 months after I was a graduate student. I feel like nothing is going to come of it, but if they do send my alleged outstanding balnace to a collection agency does it automatically go on my credit history even if I dispute the amount in full? I have great credit (over 720) and do not want to lose it because some people are trying to "get even". What is the process for collections and how do I dispute the collection.

If I have all of the appropiate documentation regarding when I was accepted into graduate school and provide the collection agency with a copy of the organizations constitution which clearly states "undergraduate" organization, will that be sufficient proof I should not have been charged for any dues after the semester I was accepted into grad school ended? I guess it should be said I started grad school the following semester.

I have had this pitbull/boxer mix for going on three weeks now. Recently he has been having several accidents in the house, but this previous week had zero accidents. He was going to the door and waiting to be let outside, but now he just goes whereever he pleases. The only thing I have altered was not rewarding him with a treat every time he goes outside. Also, he is not even going to the door anymore to warn me he needs to go. I can not figure out why he has regressed in his house breaking. How can he go from not having an accident for a week straight to having 2-3 a day on a similiar schedule. He is roughly 4 months old now. Do I punish him for going inside or what do i do?

I have a 100 acre farm about an hour away from my home. I want to keep a dog out there but do not know if i should pen it up in a 15 - 30 foot pen with a dog house under the barn, or just let it roam around while i am gone. I need a bigger dog at least 45 lbs because of coyotes and other stray dogs. I only visit the farm once every 2-3 days, however when i do visit i stay all day. I want a dog to be there when i am there just for fun and to have something out there with me. What dog should i get that will not run away when i am not there. there are cattle on the land. what kind of dog would be best. Should i pen it up or let it roam?

I have been doing p90x for 8 weeks and just finished my rest week for the second time. I didnt really do much during the off week besides work out side for a few afternoons, and being from texas that alone qualifies as a work out. I bumped up the calorie intake by 400 calories a day and increased the water intake also by about 32 ounces a day. I saw noticable results in just 7 days. My question is do i continue the added calorie diet and water intake or go back to my regular diet or continue down the path i took on during the off week. any suggestions please

They then become angry and aggressive towards you because of your refusal to give them money. You begin to feel uncomfortable and the person is getting to close and you now feel threatened because he is now very close to you. Do you A pull out your gun and ask him to leave you alone then call 911, or B do you continue to put space between you and the man and if he continues to get closer pull your gun? In either situation if he continues to get closer even after your gun is drawn do that warrant shooting him? I livve in texas and had a situation like this happen to me several weeks ago and i just get nervous about beggers now. I would never want to shoot someone but i feel that if i had had a gun i may have drawn it in that situation. I just read that obama is planning to cut the subsidies paid on loans, in order to add more money for pell grants. How come we give free money to poor people. I think that even poor people should have to take out loans to go to school just like I do. I think money should be offered to poor people, but giving it to them. I am a college student, and i work in the business office so i often see people getting paid to go to school that have a 2.0 gpa, While i have a 3.6 gpa and get nothing because my parents make to much money. I pay my way with the help of some small student loans, but i have never been given any money by the government. If the government just gives these poor students free money to attend what incentive do they have to succeed in school. Some will argue that their going to college to make themselves better, while this may be true, how come they can not pay back some student loans like i will have to one day do. It just doesn't seem fair that the gov,t will give free money to below average students. If there were some kind of standard set like maybe have a 3.0 requiremnet to get federal money then I wouldn't have as big of a problem with it, but why is the gov't wasting money on below average students. I would compare it to investing in a company that you know for a fact that tommorrow it is going under. Seems like a waste, can someone tell me if I am dead wrong and/or show a different arguement. I just think that everyone should either get free money or everyone should have to pay back debt they owe

It will start up just fine after it has been sitting up over night or for several hours, but if i kill the motor then try to crank it up it turns over but will not crank. WHat could be the cause of this, when the car starts it drives with zero problems it just will not start once it has been killed for at least 2 hours. the dealership where it is at has had the thing off and on for 3 weeks and has come up with nothing. they took my aftermarket alarm off, checked for carbon build up on the valves, looked into the EGR valve but it was fine, cleaned my injecters, checked fuel delivery system, starter and nothign is raising any flags. I was told it my be a starter realy switch because they often check out to be fine on diagnostic test but are actually bad. ANy input or suggestions would be great

how much weight training should go into preparing for a triathlon?

I plan to work out 6 days a week, 2 days on swimming seeing that this is my weakest part, 1 day on bike riding because i cycle alot already and it is my strongest leg of the race, and 2 days running. I was planning to do weights 3 days a week 1 day dedicated to upper body and the other 2 dedicated to lower body, with Abs on all 3 weight days. I was just wondering if this is an appropiate training regimen for a beginner triathlete. I will also through in some combo workouts probly in week 3 after i have started to get more up to par with my cardio. I was mainly concerned with the weight lifting though, any advice would be great.

so me and this girl have been talking for a few weeks, but since we are both in college she and i went home for the christmas break. we agreed that we would nt date till after the holidays were over and we started school again in january. i thought i had her on lock down, but she told me today that she was also talking to this guy and said she kinda wanted us to fight over her, not physical fight but she wanted us each to take her on a few dates so she could decide who she trully liked and be fair to herself and us. I was pissed, but i told her no problem. i am a very confident guy and im sure i could win, but i kind of find it insulting that i have to do all of this for her, when i could just as easily find another girl that im like, or at least i think i can. I like the girl, but should really have to but forward the effort to compete for her, i thought i already did that before the semester ended for about 2 weeks, we went out like 5 times to get to know each other, so what do i do? forget about and lay low for a while an play like im hard to get, or keep communicating with her like a have been over the break? Do i even try to compete with this guy over her, because i thinkit i s stupid personally, what would everyone else do in my shoes?

I broke up with my girlfriend in november and i started talking to this new girl about the middle of december and we are both in college, so needless to say we both went home until the next semester starts. I like the girl, but there are plenty of other girls that like me, but she is by far my first choice. However we were talking today and she was like im going to be straight with you. She told me that she has been texting this other guy that she like back in august and September but for what ever reason nothing ever became of it. She told me that she didn't want to commit to anything until we began the next semester and she wanted to me and this other guy to each take her out on a date so she could decide which one she truly like the best. I was pissed, but said that was fine, because i didn't want her to know i was upset about it. I was wondering do i even want to put forward the effort for this girl if i have to compete for her attention? I mean she should just pick one of us instead of making us jump through hoops for her, i mean this guy had his chance months ago and it didn't work out. What would everyone else do, play her game and hope for the best or just forget about her and move on?

I will be graduating with a masters in professional accounting and would like to know about what i can expect to make my first year in the workforce. I will be studying for my cpa exam and will take it as soon as possible. I will graduate with a 3.5 gpa accumulative, with a 4.0 in accounting classes, and scored fairly high on my gmat test. I am about to be 23 years old, i am an attractive male, and will be looking for a job in texas in either dallas,austin,houston, or san antonio. I was just curious to how salaries for my carrer field will be affected be the current economic concerns.
