well, double standards are one reason (quick, when was the last time you heard someone call a girl wearing jeans gay? cus I know I've never heard it). another reason is the fact that most people tend to fear or ridicule what they aren't used to (some areas of life moreso than others). Sucks, but that's the way things tend to be. As far as the second question goes, that would probably be the way to go, depending on your mindset. If you figure you can pull the tucked in look off instead, have at it then. As Lil Rob said, they do what they do and I'll let em be cus in reality they aint bothering me.

Ah to be honest, it depends on the person. A lot of the jocks in my school wore them, and they didn't look that gay. But then I've seen other men wear them and they look a little off. You could always get them and only wear them at home, or don't worry about what others might think .
