Advice on currency and banking.?

I am off to Budapest next weekend. Are Hungary in the Euro or do they have there own currency. Also what are the banks like can you get money out of cashpoints without much trouble. Thanx in advance for your advice.

    They still use the Forint, they will adopt Euro in 2011 I believe.

    Yes, they have ATMs and banks, they are not a third world country :)

    Mayk hit the nail on the head - I have just one addition: Check with your bank before you go, just in case they think the card has been stolen and is being used in Hungary; and make sure you have Maestro, Cirrus or Plus on your card.

    Also, take the same of precautions as you would at home when going to use the ATM machine.

    Have a great time, Budapest is a lovely city.
