Should we divide up the poetry section of Yahoo Answers?

I was shocked to find a poetry section at all, I in my narcissism asked that they give us the option of centering our poetry, I directed the letter to a person not a machine, I have no idea who it was anymore, but she said she would do what she could and make a note of the request.

If you do not care to read the original poetry I and my peers write, I suggest you simple disregard it and move on to the questions that seem more relevant to what it is you want.

Some people have questions regarding poetry that are unrelated to homework. Some people continue to read and/or write poetry even after they get out of school. For example, I just answered a question for someone in this section who was asking for some good spoken word poets. I'm sure he wasn't asking because he had some school assignment that required him to list spoken word poets. Like any Yahoo Answers category, there are some people who are just interested in the subject and want to expand their knowledge of it.

Ideals are awesome. And so are goals.

Yahoo doesn't care. There is a poetry section and we're lucky to have that. How about people who don't want to critique don't critique and people who want to help interpret can help interpret.

It's Yahoo - I am surprised we even have this section.

EDIT: lol it's not that we're Y!A haters, we just know this site doesn't necessarily cater to the users. There are a lot of broad categories. And that's how it's gonna be. They're too busy making the Yahoo home page look pretty.

What's the sense in contacting Yahoo when they send you automated messages?

While I think your suggestion is a great idea, I think it's a 1 in a billion chance Yahoo Execs will do this.

The "new homepage" is just their version of AOL's homepage, it's not like it's anything new to anyone, really.

Groups are dead for the most part. My own Yahoo Group is going down hill fast and am tempted to close it.

Seriously, though, if Yahoo wants to keep their customers, they need to think of a better way than changing things when they feel like it. I feel as those they change things on whim and hardly, if ever ask the public for their personal opinion.

they have a section for those wanting help with homework...

it's called the HOMEWORK section. Anyway, that is all Y/A will ever come up with.

I don't mind helping someone interpret, it's the "write me a poem for my homework" questions that tick me off a bit.

Y/A doesn't give a care about this issue and constantly reminds us by letting trolls violate a legitimate poem someone wants help with...

YES...one for oxygen breathing humans dispersing their writes with no intent other than to share with others...and one for all the rest

I e-mailed them begging for a "sandwich" category and they scoffed.

Screw Yahoo!

I doubt Y!A developers will have the motivation, or the aptitude.
