If Democrats think Bush should have been impeached shouldn't we also impeach Obama?

Democrats think that Bush violated the Constitution with the patriot act and his surveillance program. I can but into it, and I actually agree.

But under this logic shouldn't Obama be impeached for trying to create a healthcare plan that clearly violates the 10th amendment? IT clearly states any power not delegated to the federal government should go to the states. I don't see healthcare designated anywhere in the Constitution.

Update:

"Wrong. The constitution does not need to spell out every single thing the federal government can do. That provision simply means that things that the federal government does not do must be delegated to the states."

No, you are wrong. What part of "delegation" do you not understand? The constitution clearly spells out certain things that they can do and certain things they cannot. If not, why do they even bother trying to do that? They may as well have said that the federal government does anything it wants and everything else goes to the states but that's not what is stated is it?

    Your logic is false.

How can Obama be impeached for something that he hasn't done? TRYING to do something isn't the same as DOING it.

I don't know about impeaching Obama just yet, but his healthcare, rather the many healthcare initiatives running around in Congress are a violation of the 10th amendment. The Constitution is very specific about the powers of the federal government, and that is for a reason. It was to prevent such them from assuming implied powers.

Yah, well don't pay attention to Lawgirl.

Liberals hate the Constitution and view it as an obstacle to ways the government can control our lives.

Maybe the Governors can rally and get the impeachment process going. By 2010, we could be free at last!

It's funny how democrats ***** about Bush using surveillance (I'm not saying it's right), but during the entire 40 years of the Cold War presidents never did wiretaps without a warrant on citizens? Laughable. Even before the Cold War the government has used its power to spy on its citizens.

Your question lacks specifics. Since you believe Obama has committed more egregious acts than bush, why not list your top ten, or worst three, etc, so that people have some idea what you are talking about. Some links to back up your claims would also help distinguish between legitimate complaints and right-wing politicking.

Matter of fact, the majority of the House and Senate should also be impeached for voting for the legislation.

All except Nancy Pelosi who has already publicly stated she was lied to about everything that happened that people are now questioning.

Everyone has their own likes and dislikes about a person.I think he is a great president. He came to office with so much messed up. I feel we should be grateful he has changed a little bit of the economy.I think he'll be procrastinated if he did something or not.No one had a problem spending the stimulus money. It helped or will help everyone in a way no matter how much money you make are what color you are.!!!

Brilliant, brilliant question. Obama is Bush the 2nd. Socialized health care is a clear violation of the 10th amendment.I don't see any law abider's when it comes to this though.

If healthcare became a federal power, it would not be delegated to the states. Also, federal laws are the law of the land (supremacy clause).

Bush would have been impeached for falsifying evidence in order to justify the invasion of Iraq.

I should be impeached, but it will never happen. I have too many blind followers to allow it. Keep dreaming.
