Did this off-season just make the good teams better and the bad teams worse?

It seems like this off-season was great for the contenders, but plain horrible for the lower ranked teams.

The Nets gave up their star player for a future player.

Raptors lost Parker and Marion

Bulls lost Ben Gordon

etc. etc. etc.

Do you think this will have a long term effect on the NBA when in 2 years all these players just traded retire, and the whole weight of the NBA title run shifts into the hands of these low market teams no one cares about?

Thoughts and opinions,

ha. Rockets got Benilli, and Turkoglu and jarett jack

bulls lost ben gordon with the hope of gettin wade or Bosh

76ers lost Miller and have not replaced him which i hope they will

    Blazers lost out on Turk

Clippers got alot of good new players blake, telfair, c. smith

grizzlies got zach randolph for warrick

    hawks got crawford

heat could get LO, Booz, AND Tinsley

    Hornets got Okafor for Tyson

Jazz are trying to find the best deal for Boozer

Kings got Tyreke Evans.... May doesnt matter

Lakers are the biggest loser. Throwin away a 23 yr old HUNGRY ariza for a 31 yr old artest who isnt the defensive force he was and needs alot of shots to even stay motivated. Add to that they can lose Odom. id say they are the BIGGEST LOSERS.

    Mavs-Marion,Thomas, kept Kidd, Gooden

Nets-Lost Vince but honestly they want LeBron anyway plus they got courtney lee, and a lil extras

Nuggets-Lost Dahntay Jones but got Affalo

Pacers-lost Jack and Daniels but bird apprantley knows wat hes doin

Pistons-signed villuneva and BG. i think there is no D in the D next year

    Raptors-see top

Rockets-LOST YAO.scratch the Lakers this has gotta be the biggest loss

Spurs-Got alot scarier and should OWN the West

T'wolves-i believe they are trying to get worse. But they did nab Flynn and Rubio who might not play in the NBA for 2 more seasons

Warriors- I think by jus keepin everyone got alot better even tho they gave up Benelli for chump change George he honestly had no PT on that squad for him

    Wizards-Got back arenas

I mightve skipped a few teams (Suns-resigned Nash, Amare coming back, kept Hill) but honestly not too many people got worse...(Bucks-RJ for nothing so they should be among the worst)

This will be one of the best football seasons in NFL history. With that said, there are many good teams in the NFL that could win it, but in the end, whoever has the best defense and a good offense will win. I'll even give you my picks for the Super Bowl. AFC: Patriots, Ravens, Bengals, Colts, Jags, Broncs, Chargers. Wild Card: Jets, Titans. Losers: Bills, Browns, Steelers, Chiefs, Raiders. Surprise: Texans, Dolphins. NFC: Cowboys, Giants, Panthers, Saints, Seahawks. Wild Card: Eagles, Bears, Packers, Falcons, Rams. Losers: Redskins, Lions, Vikings, Bucs. Surprise: Cardinals, 49ers. Best Bet AFC: I believe the best of the AFC will be the Chargers and Patriots, they were so close to a Super Bowl win, and want it bad. The Colts have already won, and I believe that they will go downhill from here, unless they keep their head's up, and want anther one, then it's possible. Miami is still iffy, if their D is as good as last years, and Beck can fire up this offense, watch out, they'll be deadly, if Dante plays... another 6-10 year...if they're lucky. Texans may be good, if their O-Line can shape up, they'll be good, they have the runners, and have the Defense, but they lost David Carr, so who knows, they'll surprise us by getting wild card or playoffs, or they'll loose again. AFC SUPER BOWL PICK: Patriots Best Bet NFC: Cowboys and the Saints are my best bet right now, but until these two teams start playing, it's just a guess. The Cowboys so close to anther Super Bowl appearance ruined by their dumb QB Tony Romo. The Saints did get slaughtered by the Bears, which makes me wonder if they can actually do it. Keep your eye out on this team, they were really close also, they want a Super Bowl win, and they can go all the way. NFC SUPER BOWL PICK: Cowboys Super Bowl: Cowboys vs. Patriots...Cowboys win... It's only a guess. anything can happen, and the season hasn't kicked off yet, so let's see what happens some September.

It looks that way so fare... the big pending is if Odom stays with the Lakers or goes with the Heat... or another team. Its a big loss for the Lakers and a gain for any team ... of cores he can't go to a contender team cuz they won't have the $$$! So, if he, or any other major roll player, leaves and goes to a none contender team, then no, but from what I see so fare, The Lakers, Magic, Cav's, Celtics, and Spurs got better. The sub .500 teams in the West and sub .350 teams in the East got allot worse. What are the Grizzlies and T-Wolves doing? Are they planing to sell the franchise??? (nothing new really) Clippers are probably the only exception. But that's due to a draft pick, and is still questionable for next season, but not for the next 4-5 years. But they still wont win a championship, just that they are a better team then last year!

FYI. The faith of the near future lies in the hands of Kobe, LeBron, Howard, Melo, D-Willams, and CP3. They have 5-8 years of dominating. Then it will shift in the hands of Rose, Granger, Griffin, Bynum, J.J., and any other star that's in their late 20's early 30's by then!!!

    GO LAKERS!!!

I wouldn't say the Raptors in there completely. They gained a better player in Hedo Turkoglu. The Nets also let Carter go as more of a strategic move to keep the ball in Devin Harris' hands more, and they got a younger player in Lee who'll be good for years to come.

The Milwaukee Bucks got worse; they didn't replace Villanueva or Richard Jefferson.

The Philadelphia 76ers got worse; they didn't replace Andre Miller. They drafted Jrue Holliday for the future -- not right away.

The Houston Rockets got considerably worse due to injuries and losing Artest even if they gained a nice piece in Ariza.

The Bulls lost Gordon; but they have other pieces that should fill in just as well if Loul Deng can stay healthy -- they'll slide Salmons to SG, and Deng to the SF.

The Suns lost Shaq; but he didn't really fit into their style of play to begin with, I don't see that as a major loss.

The Clippers traded Zach Randolph and got much better by adding Blake Griffin.

The Pistons in my opinion might've gotten worse on the inside and on their bench with losses in Rasheed Wallace and Antonio McDyess. Villanueva isn't an inside post presence, and McDyess was solid off the bench.

I do however agree with the statement that the better just got better, and the worse more then likely got worse.

Most of the teams, yes. some...no. Houston wasn't that bad but they got much worse. Celtics were good but got a little worse with Rasheed Wallace. Detroit Pistons were bad but they got MUCH better with no Allen Iverson and Michael Curry. Even though Antonio McDyess was a loss, losing Rasheed helped and hurt (it helped just a TINY bit more that it hurt). They got Austin Daye and Dejuan Summers from the Draft and Chris Wilcox, Charlie Villanueva, and Ben Gordon from FA. Much better.
