I spent the whole day with my ex;
He was being a MAJOR flirt.
& Asking me what was wrong every 5 seconds (I didn't feel good)
& Made sure I was okay.
On the car ride home,

Well, since you were forced to end your relationship with your ex-boyfriend, he probably still has feelings towards you. And I bet you do, also.
Hang around more and act like pals, instead of boyfriend and girlfriend. When the right time comes, you or your ex-boyfriend might feel ready to start a new relationship.

I think you should just go to the source, and just ask him yourself.
From what you said I think he likes you, because he is being awfully flirty.

It sounds like he may have a thing for you. :)
Why don't you ask him yourself about liking you or not? I mean, it's not like he has a reason not to like you, it's not like ya'll broke up on bad terms.
