will my ipod touch work after dropped in water?
i dropped my ipod touch in sink about 6 months ago.it was in for about 2 seconds.if i tried it now,is there a possibility it might work again? i was going to tell apple care and pay to get it repaired but should i try it?
i was just thinking about it until recently.ive been to busy all these months to see if its working.but i really miss playing the apps, listening to music, etc.

You should try it because you have nothing to lose by trying it... The worst it will happen is that you cant turn it on and you will take it to the apple store to get it fixed which is what you're planning on anyways

Try to make sure all the water is out. What my friend did was put his Ipod in a bag of rice, since the rice absorbs the water.Otherwise,it might be a technical problem so go to an apple store to get it repaired.

i was gonna say to put it over the a/c vent or in front of a fan for 3-5 days before attempting to turn it on however its been six months so it should be as dried out as its gonna get. i have dropped my phone in the toilet and a Nana Ipod went through an entire wash cycle, both survived because I DID NOT attempt to turn it on until it was dry. If you never attempted to turn it on after dropping it in water you could be in luck! but if you turned it on wet....its fried. let us know how it turned out.

maybe. i dropped my phone in water and then i vaccumed it (not to much or it will never work) and put in in a bowl of dry rice (to saok up any leftover water) for about three hours. then hook it up to the charger and let it sit there for another hour. then try to turn it on. if it dosent work take it to bestbuy and let the geek squad work on it.

If you haven't used it since you dropped it in 6 months ago, and it doesn't work now, it won't ever work.

it mite work cuz once mine was soaking in water for 10 minutes. it had a huge puddle in it's screen and it still worked but wen it dried, the screen looked icky and murky.

Duh, try it. If it doesn't call the Apple store and get it fixed. Sometimes, when I drop something in the water I get a hair dryer and dry it out. Then it works.
