Should solo singers using backing tracks when singing in pubs be banned from advertising as 'live music'?

As a musician myself I find this very annoying. Surely they should be forced to describe themselves as solo karaoke performers.

Why do you assume a voice isn't music?

I think song, i.e.. someone singing, constitutes as music.. so if it's live.. why not?

Many solo instrumentalists get away with it.

Their performance is live....a lot of the 'big bands' use 'tracks' during their performances....especially in the big arenas.....
