PHOTOGRAPHY HELP, DIGITAL WITH MANUAL LENS?

I am looking to start using my old om lens on my olympus e-system camera. I have ordered om-f1 om-4/3 lens adapter to do this. On the info for the adapter it said it will give you twice the focal length as you would have on a film camera. So if im using a manual 300mm lens with a 2x converter does that mean on my digital camera i will be using the equivalent of a 1200mm lens?

Dunno, if that's what it says, I guess. If it does it will be horrible image quality, blurry and ****.

    A 2x converter will give a 300mm lens the equivalent of a 600mm lens
