what type of possible medical condition?
These are medical symptoms, please do not gross out and call me a nasty old man...
consistent loose bowels, amber to yellowish in color, also pinching pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, take note that my gallbladder is out....earlier in my life I was diagnosed with spastic colon. Thanks for your input.

How long has it been since you've had your liver checked. Do you drink alcohol excessively or on a daily basis? These questions must be answered to help find out why your stools are this color. Chances are if it's not the gallbladder then next the liver must be checked. Please make an appointment with a GI doctor Monday or get a referral from your GP for one and then have them check it. The liver can rejuvenate, but first the reason it needs help must be diagnosed. Good luck and God Bless

well if its amber, it may be blood, but bleeding doesn't usually cause pain.
You may want to have your post cholecystectomy bile duct checked out. loose yellow stool makes me think of unabsorbed fat. After you've had your gallbladder out, you'll have an increase of this, but if its new recently or has changed, then your liver is secreting less bile then normal.
Are you a heavy drinker?
you certainly could have a viral infection bothering your liver.
you doctor can easily order a HIDA scan or ultrasound of your abdomen... and check blood tests for anemia or elevated liver levels.

could be anything, acute onset? there are meds for "spastic colon" now days. you need to see a doc, esp if wt loss, fatigue, fever, nausea, vomiting, and lasting more than 2 wks. wouldn't self treat this w over the counter meds. could make situation worse. either see a general surgeon, who does abd surgery all the time or see GI doc.
