If man evolved from apes why are there still apes?

    Same way as reptiles evolved from fish, but there are still fishes in the ocean.

    evolution would wipe out the weak if they are not anymore fit to live. It does not necessarily mean that if one species evolved, the former would be deleted, they may still thrive.

    And besides, man evolved from apes different from other apes that we see from today. Those are common ancestors we have with other apes, so they would be our cousins.
