Can I put a 'beach' in my house? *serious question*?

I want to know if I can legally put an indoor 'beach' in my house. I want to get a liner and place it across the entire bottom of a small room in my home, and put a few inches of sand on it, then get a sunset backdrop for the wall. Is there any legal issue with filling a room with sand? Any home violation codes or anything? Thx.

If you own the home, there are no legal reasons to prevent you.

Not sure how much sand weighs, but maybe calculate how much weight your floor joists will support.
