Looking for a book on gems.?

I am looking for a book detailing how gems are made, what parts of the world their each from, what sort of terrain they are found in, the price different gems fetch etc. Thanks in advance, and no it doesn't have to be a book, it could be a site but whatever has the most info.

    for descriptions of gems and their provenance. You will probably not get definite statements of prices as that depends on the individual gems but the sister site to the one above viz.
