my cat does the weirdest thing with a blanket!?
Well, I got my cat when he was young and he didn't get to drink milk from his mother. And, every night when I have a blanket over myself he will bite a part of it and then knee the blanket. What is he doing? Is it something, good, bad what is it? And, should I do something about it? And, it's not just me it's anyone with a blanket on. And, he will walk around in circels and purr. . . . Please help!

He's trying to nurse. Cats who are separated from their mothers to young tend to exhibit nursing behavior throughout their life. My kitten, who was weened already and fully ready to leave mama cat, still does that. I personally thinks its cute and its pure enjoyment for them so let him. My kitten curls up with me at night and uses my side/back/leg/blanket/anything to kneed.

You don't need help. This is normal. The treading on the blanket is said to be leftover from the way kittens tread the breast to encourage milk flow and a lot of cats do it when they are happy. You might want to cover the bed with an older blanket though, because his claws won't so it any good. Our cat does it to a cushion. He has his own and has just about ruined it!
If he's walking round purring he's happy - pet him.

the cat is playing. it doesn't know it's you under the blanket
if he sees the blanket move it could be a mouse as far as the cat is concerned. as far as it walking around and purring...it's contented (happy) that sound they have no control over..when they are at ease it just comes out.
the kneeing movment is done by almost any animal..it's what they would of done when they were nursing, whether they nursed or not.
sometimes they do it forever, it gives them comfort..
you just have a normal healthy cat doing what it does...

It's called "making biscuits". I found a stray years ago who had no doubt been separated from her mother much too early. One of her odd behaviors was to take my sweaters and knead them, pulling them all around the room as she did so.
She would even pull sweaters out of drawers to do this and become enraged if I tried to take the sweater away.
I don't think there is anything you can do about it. I gave up trying to break Persephone of the habit. Too much blood shed (mine ) .

Aw, I wouldn't mind too much. My cats are 1 year old and they still do that. I find it to be a nice feeling. =)
