According to a British review of studies done over the past 50 years, organic and conventionally produced foods have about the same nutrient content, suggesting that neither is better in terms of health benefits.
"We did not find any important differences in nutrient content between organically and conventionally produced foods," said study author Alan Dangour, a registered public health nutritionist with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Nonetheless, the researchers noted, organic foods continue to grow in popularity. In the United Kingdom, the market share for organic foods increased 22 percent from 2005 to 2007, they said.
Likewise, the market for organic foods in the United States has grown at about a 20 percent rate each year since 1990, reaching $13.8 billion in consumer sales in 2005, according to the Organic Trade Association. That represents 2.5 percent of total food sales in the country, the trade group noted.

A lot of regular veggies and fruits and even meats are treated with the same kind of pesticides and chemicals that are approved by organic growers. The licenses to grow certified organic stuff are expensive and not worth keeping up. A farmer wants his crops to have fewer bug problems and wants to prevent them as cheaply as possible. Both farmers use very similar, if not the same products. Not effecting the overall nutritional value of the food.

No. Organic food is the same as regular food, it's just grown without chemicals. The nutritional content of a standard potato and an organic potato are the same.

It is likely, there could be more in the non organic with the all of the chemicals they add to improve them.

Yes because non organic is sometimes processed in ways which removes nutrients such as vitamins. Organic is also safer because it does not transfer to you antibiotics and other substances used to produce non organic foods. I just wish it wasn't so expensive when compared to non-organic food :-(

Nope, so why eat it, I mean other than you won't be flooding your body with chemicals. Other than the food being cruelty-free, other than it tasting better, lasting longer, and much more. It is definitely a waste of money.
