how can i get the save to window in mozilla's firefox browser to not be hidden?

in firefox, if I'm saving a file (like a pic from gmail), it asks me if I want to open or save. if I click save, the Windows pop up window that says "enter a name of the file to save to" appears briefly and then is hidden behind the browser.

it's very annoying - I have to find it in order to complete the action. it hasn't always been like that, but has for a while. I'd love to fix it so it stays on top. This pop-under drives me crazy!

thanks for your help!

That's strange - Firefox's default settings shouldn't do that. Well are you saving them in a unusual fashion? Just right click the image and select save image as.

If it only happens with Gmail, then it's their compatibility problem with Mozilla Firefox.
