Is Pride and Prejudice and good?

I'm reading it and it started off great but now it's getting a bit boring so should I persevere or move onto Wuthering Heights?

It's a literary classic. Of course it's good!!!! lol The only problem is people have changed, so yes, you might find it boring. But it's considered a literary masterpiece so yes, so without a doubt it is "good".

Persevere. It gets better. And Wuthering Heights is much more difficult.

Keep it up! Some times it you can get bogged down by the style and all they seem to do is chat. But Elizabeth is awesome and story will pick up again.

I'm actually trying to talk myself into reading Wuthering Heights right now (I didn't last very long the last time I picked it up).

maybe catch the movie or the bbc series so you understand whats happening in the story a little more and then the book might make more sense, if you have seen these, watch them again :D

personally it is my FAVOURITE BOOK EVER but i know its not for everyone,

    try and keep reading

ps. i saw the wuthering heights film and liked it but im not sure whether or not i will read the book

Source(s): read pride and prejudice WAY too many times :D

Maybe you got bored because you got bogged down with so many dated references.

Jane Austen refers to things and people from her time. Things and people we aren't familiar with today.

So if your copy has little numbers with notes, read those notes as you go along so you can get the drift of what she's writing about. And if you come across words you don't understand, look them up in the dictionary. Not knowing the meaning of a word can slow reading progress to a standstill.

    Hope this helps.

    Nooooooo.

Keep reading. I started off at the beginning and thought it was kind of limp - but persevered because we were studying it in English class and I'm glad I didn't just become lazy and read the spark notes or something, cos it actually got really good! Especially at the end. Good stuff, keep going. :)

    Source(s): I read it. I loved it.

You should persevere reading this novel. It can be boring at times but overall I think you will enjoy it. ^-^
