legal help with a car accident?

My sister's car was hit while she was on her way to work It was 90% the other drivers fault .

she hurt her neck pretty bad and there is a lawsuit on the way.

But the other insurance company only want's to give her $1000 for her car she has been 3 weeks without a car and she is thinking of dismissing her lawyer and getting a new one.

I think this is a bad idea but I could be wrong,Kelly blue book lists the car at 1000-3800$ the car is totalled

should she get more for her car or wait for the lawsuit to settle everything?

or look at a new lawyer

The car is worth what it is worth. No attorney wants to get involved in a property damage dispute over a car because there is not much room for negotiation because the insurance company can so easily document how they arrived at this value.

If you are considering changing attorneys because the current one won't pursue a higher settlement on the car, don't bother.

In all the years I have handled claims I have talked to 2 lawyers about a vehicle settlement. One did it as a courtesy because his client didn't speak English, and the other was this lady's real estate attorney and she twisted his arm to call me. Neither of them made any difference in the vehicle settlement.

What your sister paid for her car does not affect what it is worth.

Bottom line, if your sister trusts her attorney to handle her injury claim, then let the current attorney do so.

Insurance companies do not just look at the Kelly Blue Book. They also look at the current market value, like how much the car is selling for at the car dealerships and private party deals too.

Why do you think the car is worth more? Is it the condition? The low miles? New Tires? , ect. You need to call the claim rep to discuss it. Problem is they can not talk to you when you have an attorney. It is up to you if you want to fire the attorney or keep him and have him settle everything for you.

Carl Edwards was once looking to block Keselowski on the finish and whilst he drove down on him he acquired spun out. That's simply racing. Brad did not imply to make him crash and so they have been each simply looking to win the race. Carl was once interviewed after the race and he did not appear that mad. I'm definite he was once at the within however he's a legit and is aware of how NASCAR racing will also be. And celebrating after a NASCAR race is authorized. Every driving force that has ever gained a race has celebrated by some means both via doing donuts, riding across the monitor with the checkered flag, and lots of different celebrations.

It looks like its a older car so it's value is much less. Take the 1K and put a down on another car. It is not the lawyers fault the cars value is low. The whole thing sucks, but I'm sure your friend will collect nicely after it's all said and done.
