My fellow Catholics how do you see the Eucharist?
“The Eucharist is the life of the people. The Eucharist gives them a center of life. All can come together without the barriers of race or language in order to celebrate the feast days of the Church. It gives them a law of life, that of charity, of which it is the source; thus it forges between them a common bond, a Christian kinship” (Peter Julian Eymard).

That was why Saint Padre Pio loved celebrating the Holy Eucharist be it of their color race of ethnicity because he believe that the Holy Eucharist bonds people more powerful than other mean.If we look at the 3 Gospel Matthew,Mark and LUke we recall the account that Jesus Christ the Almighty God told his disciples This is my Body in reference to the Unleavened Bread and This is my Blood in reference to the Wine.It is not like some Protestant claim symbolic or memorial precense. This is truly the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ within the Host and thw Wine when it is being consecrated during Holy Mass in a Roman Catholic Church even without being consecrated it is still the same Body and Blood of Jesus Christ the Almighty God though the Eastern Catholic and Eastern Orthodox do not know when the transformation takes place
The synoptic Gospel of John even paints a more important role in receiving Jesus Body and Blood as means of Salvation and spiritual and mental cleansing. For Jesus Christ the Almighty God says in the Gospel of John He who eats my Flesh and Drinks my Blood will have eternal life For my flesh is the real Food my Blood is the real drink whoever does so will have eternal life.It might sound so clinque.Surely We Roman and Eastern Catholics,Eastern and Oriental Orthodox with the Assyrian Church knows this but do we know
actually what takes place during Holy Communion
That is why JOhn Calvin wanted to remove the Gospel of John because it sounded to him like cannbalism. He stood by this theory that Man should not live by Bread alone But he also forgots the other phrase but everyword that comes from the Mouth of God
Therefore what Jesus says is real and exsistant
There are many protestants who accused us of Cannabalism. How can this Man give us his Flesh to eat said some of his disciples and the Crowd and they left him thinking he was mad and Jesus Christ the Almighty God questioned Saint Peter Will you leave me too and Saint Peter to whom do we go you have the message of eternal life even though Saint Peter and his diciples were confused by what he meant
Cannabalism is unlawful act between two man who unvoluntary or voluntary kills someone. That is Murder. But It is Jesus's blood who is paid for the ransom as the Epistle to the Hebrews said in Chap. 9.11,14.Jesus Christ the Almighty God did have not to kill for the blood but hismelf dyinbg on the Cross paying for the Ransom of Money
11 But now Christ has come, as the high priest of all the blessings which were to come. He has passed through the greater, the more perfect tent, not made by human hands, that is, not of this created order;
12 and he has entered the sanctuary once and for all, taking with him not the blood of goats and bull calves, but his own blood, having won an eternal redemption.
13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkled on those who have incurred defilement, may restore their bodily purity.
14 How much more will the blood of Christ, who offered himself, blameless as he was, to God through the eternal Spirit, purify our conscience from dead actions so that we can worship the living God.
Why do Jesus Christ the Almighty God wants to be part of us through the HOly Eucharist and Holy Communion so that we can be physically mentally and spirtually be part of us and all our worries and problems will be removed for Jesus says in the Gospel of Matthew Jesus says Come all ye overburden for i will give us rest For your burden is heavy but my yoke is light
The validity of the Holy Eucharist wil be judged on how it affects others is a mean to bring everbody together through social justice
It is not a political correctness it is the way what Jesus Christ the Almighty God has seen the abuses and the social sufferings of the Jewish people had suffered
The Holy Eucharist is a source of happiness for other different. It is a beacon of Love Hope Forgiveness Joy Gratitude Peace Unity and so many values that it teaches
It is funny on a sidenote that i should now mention the Anglican's version of the Holy Eucharist They claim that the Host and the Wine is the Real precense of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ and yet they deny it is Blood Soul Divinity that is Present but only spiritually That is real heresey as saying this so means Jesus Christ who has 2 natures Both wholly God an Man but united as one or commonly known as the Hypostaic Union.
They are no different from Nestorian who divided Jesus Divinity and Humanity as said they were two different. This is the biggest heresey about the Holy Eucharist There are a group of Christains who dont believe in the Real Precense of the Holy Eucharist there is and the group who do and that are the Roman and Eastern Catholics All Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Church and Assryian Church of the East
I guess why i know they know they allow inter-communion even in the High Anglo-Catholic Church beacuse they dont believe in anything and allow their parishners to subscribe to anything One group says Yes it is the Real Precense of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ One group the Evangalicals says No
So who is right who is wrong I guess why they call the Church of England Holy Apostlic Catholic Church sic
When one of their 39 article says that Transubtation or Real precense is supersition. They can really eat theirs words
Yours in Christ

'Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:therefore let us keep the feast' 1 Corinthians 5:7-8.
The Eucharist is a sacrifice,a presence and a food.
Sacrifice. It makes present Jesus Christ's sacrifice on Calvary for our salvation.
Presence. It is Jesus Christ himself under the appearances of bread and wine.
Food. It is the nourishment of our souls by which we share in God's own life.
The Eucharistic sacrifice is the Mass, the centre of our worship and highest prayer, in which Jesus becomes really present in the bread and wine which are changed into his Body and Blood by the words of consecration by the priest. I believe Jesus' words 'This is my Body. This is my Blood' The greatest gift I can have!
'Blessed are those who are called to the Marriage Feast of the Lamb' Rev 19.9. The Mass is a sacred banquet on earth.
Jesus said 'I am with you always;yes, to the end of time' Mt 28:29.
This promise is fulfilled in the real presence of the Eucharist in the tabernacle of every Catholic Church.
So I can spend time with Jesus and adore him there especially during the times of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. These are very blessed times when people have received many graces, strength and healing.
God bless

That is a beautiful quote. Fantastic!
The Eucharist is everything. It is beauty beyond beauty. It is THE reason why I am Catholic today. Without it, I doubt I would continue to be a Christian, or even a believer in God.
God bless.

The Lord gave us the Eucharist at the Last Supper because he wanted us to share in the life of the Trinity, the loving communion of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We become united to God at our Baptism, and receive a further outpouring of the Holy Spirit at our Confirmation. In the Eucharist we are nourished spiritually, brought closer to God.
By eating the Body and drinking the Blood of Christ in the Eucharist we become united to the person of Christ through his humanity.
"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him" (Jn 6:56).

Life, faith, hope, and a community putting squabbles aside to share a truly divine meal together in unity and love with their shared hope and faith in Jesus Christ.
The amount of faith that is required to believe the Holy Eucharist is really the living flesh and blood of Jesus is surely pleasing to our Lord who values faith and trust in God above all things. I believe so much more faith is required for us to believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, than is required for people to believe there is a God, that Jesus is God, or that Jesus really existed and died for our sins.
"This is a hard saying, who can stand it?" the unfaithful said, turning their backs on our Lord when he instituted the Eucharist. As we can see, it's still a hard saying for a great many people to this day, accusing us of cannibalism just like the unfaithful who turned their backs on Jesus did.
I also believe the Eucharist is essential for better understanding the trinity, and promises of Jesus Christ, particularly our own bodily resurrections.
As faithful Christians we are in the body of Christ, and taking the Eucharist is us allowing the body of Christ to live and dwell in us.

It is the ultimate expression of Christ's love for us- in the Eucharist He come to each us in the most intimate, personal way.
He comes not as an angry Judge on His throne high in Heaven, but in the form of simple Bread and Wine.

Nice,
But it is more than that, as our Priest puts it, "The Eucharist is the only thing we consume that we become a part of instead of it becoming a part of us."
It is also the reason I am a former Protestant and now Catholic.
(I don't hate or bash Protestants though)

As something I'm not worthy to receive, because of my own sins and screwups.
Apparently, it's offered as a gift anyway, and the Eucharist is supposed to provide grace, yet I still commit sins and screwups afterward anyway.
