Regarding the woman losing her baby for not having C-section?
I had to add this to that question asked from Brass Monkey (see link below)
There is a lot more to this story than reported on the link given. Yes the mother was dx. delusional with paranoid schizophrenia, and she was under psychiatric care before her pregnancy. There were many documented accounts of the woman making inappropriate statements about the baby and it's health and care and her regards to it BEFORE she even went into labor! A-4627-06T4} there are many sites with information) During the woman's stay at the hospital (before delivery) she received not one, two psychiatric consults.
We all know how the media sensationalizes everything and only prints what will make a rise in the media, and it worked!
From EVERYTHING I've read the woman had major long term psychiatric history, and the hospital acted in the best interest of the new-born.
One more thing all the "non-C-section activist" out there are taking this as a way to plead their cause!
Like anything there are 2 sides to every story.
What do you think now know a little more of the story.

While I agree with you that the whole story is not out there, that honestly doesn't matter. Unless a judge had ruled her incompetent, she has the right to refuse surgery on her body for ANY reason. Two shrink consults should have been enough to provide a judge with reasonable information to decide if she was competent to make decisions.
With a c-section rate that went from 5% to 25% with no accompanying drop in infant deaths or injuries of singletons (according to stats) any person with brains can see that doctor's don't get it right a lot of the time.
I would like to add that with her psychiatric problems, she should not be raising the child. I agree. But the reason for not allowing her to have the baby should be because of her psychiatric issues, not because of her refusal to have a c-section.

VBAC's are discouraged via maximum OB's except a individual has had a number of vaginal deliveries previous to the C-section. the possibility of uterine rupture is amazingly small, i could be greater apprehensive approximately TBI (hectic techniques harm) from hypoxia. i'm prepared approximately get em out rapid.

That is still no excuse to take a baby away from a mother. My father suffers from schizophrenia and was completely capable of raising children. He raised 3 and did damn fine job of it.

Seth, you're a troll and no one likes you hear. you're not even a parent yet so stop giving advise to people, you're annoying. anyway, i think it would be wrong for a woman to get her baby taken away for not having c-section but not if she was truly crazy. BUT if she gets help i don't see why they shouldn't reunite them
