is the world coming to end on 9/02/09?

This is a new one. I'm used to dealing with the 2012 n**jobs.

As for "the" comet, I'd be curious which one you mean. At any given time, astronomers are tracking several hundred, and none of them are coming close to the Earth.

And the phrase "Planet X" has been used a number of times throughout history. It was used in the early part of the 20th century to describe Pluto, and was used in 2003 on dwarf planet Eris. Both bodies are more than three billion miles away, and moving further out.

So, can you give us a source on where you heard this? Unless you don't want the dumb science types to check out your story ...

Mind you, associating Wormwood with September 2 goes back to at least Sept. 2, 2005.

In 2007 (Sept. 2 again), it was associated with Peru, where poisonous gases were coming out of a crater. Some people who had gotten off their medication believed that it was an attack by aliens.

It is like the Mars Opposition hoax: every year around Aug. 27, Mars is supposed to be visible as big as the Moon.

We all know it is fake, but we somehow know that every year there will be yet another hoax about it.

So will Sept. 2, 2011 (this hoax seems to come back only on odd years), which falls between the two bigger ends of the world of 2011 (May and October -- both from the same "prophets") and then there are all the other minor ends-of-the-world (as much as an end-of-the-world can be "minor")

So prepare for all of them.

They are all fake anyways, so don't use up all your preparation on the first one, keep some preparation for the following ones.

however the top of the international will come sometime. it somewhat is definite. there'll come a element the place the solar has exhausted it is hydrogen gasoline. At this element, gravity will reason the solar to chop back, build up rigidity and temperature so intense that the solar will swell to a crimson sizeable. it is going to swallow Mercury and Venus, and roast each little thing on the earth. The solar will then initiate fusing helium into heavier components. The Earth would be ended at this element.
