Try Untangle. I used to use Smoothwall myself from a recommendation of a friend and loved it for a time. Then I found Untangle, it is very user friendly and has a ton of easy-to-install packages on it. It has the ability to set up RAID harddrives, as well as:
IDS
Firewall listings
E-mail/Spam/packet virus detection
OpenVPN
Bandwidth/website logging
Web Content Filtering
Multi-nic setups for DMZs and bridge network
and a lot of other stuff i haven't tried
The best part is it is based off the Debian CLI and has a web front end for remote administration and a java front end for local administration. I prefer this software solution over any hardware firewall I've ever used.

When the firewall is enabled on your ClearOS system, the default behavior is to block all external (Internet) traffic. If you plan on running services on your ClearOS system that can be accessible from the Internet, then you will need to add the firewall policy to do so. For example, the OpenVPN server requires UDP port 1194 to be open on the firewall.
