    Subaru has their own long life coolant... Do NOT and DO NOT and DON"T get the aftermarket one....or you ruined the coolant system....

    Base on your year, you may have the new "blue" coolant which suppose give you higher temperature point.

    The best way to find out, call your local dealership, give them the year and vin and they will tell you.

    The coolant for subaru is usually 14-22 dollars and you have to mix it with water (tap water is okay, distilled is better).

    Part no. for the coolant: SOA868V9210 (For the green longlife coolant).

    Source(s): search it on subaruparts.com

    Match the colors.

    Yellow = Ford brand coolant

    Green = Regular old antifreeze

    Red = Toyota Bug juice

    (It's green).
