wouldn't living in America be great if...?

lived in a country where you could get free health care. no matter what.

can you please tell me why PAYING exorbitant amounts to health care companies opposed to getting FREE health care with no conditions a bad thing?

where is the sense in this? please explain the reasoning behind this? Wouldn't this be something you would want? wouldnt this make living in the USA even better? wouldn't you really be proud to live in a country where everyone never gets turned down for medical care?

just like you can get FREE education and get FREE help when your home is on fire or when your in danger?

    You're kidding right?

Nothing is free, this will cost us big time. Do you know how obama plans to fund this health care reform? He is going to require senior citizens to be counseled every 5 years on how to end their lives because they are a burden to society. Seniors will be denied health care so that the gazillions of illegals here can receive it. That is his plan, mass senior citizen suicide. Plus if time is money then doctor visits will be very expensive. We will wait months if not years to get that magic appointment with a doctor and then we will have to wait hours for our appointment as if we were going to an emergency room. This is socialized health care like it is in Canada. Why do you think Canadians cross over to the US to get medical care? Because their government has failed them. Wake up, where have you been?

The reason we pay so much for health care nowv is because of all the people who get it for free. If I had to go to school for 8+ years and spend hundreds of thousands on tuition I would want sme serious payback, too. We don't need free health care. Everybody who needs it, gets it, with the way things are right now. We need more education and more federal grants to help doctors and nurses who are attending classes.

Richard B, couldn't have said it better myself!

I'm Canadian and I gotta say, don't listen to all the lies about our system the conservatives are spreading. We have an excellent system that cares for everyone which is pretty amazing. Living a healthy life is a right not a priviledge!

    Nothing is free

But shared payment for shared risk it the best way to deal with

things that the individual cannot possibly afford if the worst happens

Education to each is a benefit to all. Unless of course you think illeterate slaves and serfs is a good thing

Nothing is free. Your "free" means more taxes to me.

Wow...do you now know the old proverb "NOTHING is free!"

You pay taxes to pay for all that stuff.
