What size HD should I get for my laptop?

I'm going off to college and getting a custom laptop.

I have the options of getting:

320 gb @ 5400 rpm (base)

320 gb @ 7200 rpm (+$45)

500 gb @ 5400 rpm (+$90)

500 gb @ 7200 rpm (+$135)

They offer even larger, but I really don't think I'll need to go larger than that. I don't do any gaming, just schoolwork and web browsing... A little photo/video editing here and there, but not very often. y biggest question is the rpm. How much of an effect will that have?

Update:

You think the 320 will be large enough or should I go for the 5?

The higher the rpm, the faster the hard drive is. Until you really need the extra power, the 320@5400 is probably good enough for your needs. If you plan on keeping music or movies on your laptop, though, you should get the 500GB.

5400 will probably be fast enough. Higher speed = more heat and less battery life.
