What do you think of BRIC: Brazil, Russia, India and China?

I am Brazilian and always dreamed that my country forward.

Fortunately there is an economic group named BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) that the second search will be the world's largest economies in the future.

According to research group of Goldman Sachs in 2050, China is the world's largest economy with a GDP of US$ 70,710,00 and second is the United States with only US$ 38,520,00 and still compete with India , to be US$ 38,230,00! Brazil is in fourth place with $ 11,600,00!

Indians: What is it?

Will overcome the arroganted USA?

Let's unite!

I know three of these countries but not Brazil. My thoughts are these:

    - Russian and China seem to me to be corrupt totalitarian states. There is a pretence to democracy but the ruling class in both have complete control over public life and private wealth. Anyone who succeeds financially is either a member of the corrupt ruling class or will find him/her self under threat from the ruling class, or else will find themselves drawn into the ruling class. As a country, Russian may be ungovernable in the sense that the central administration is not concerned to do the right things, and is widely regarded as ineffective and perverse. China is slightly worse, since the government is content to leave the poor as poor and to encourage the rich to become richer; despite the ideological pretence towards equality. BUT between them, these countries contain about one-quarter of the planet's population; both have enormous reserves of economic resources, mineral deposits, well-provided education systems, and social discipline [by which I mean ordinary people treat each other and strangers with kindness and courtesy; the words "please" and "thank you" are heard all the time, parents teach their children how to behave well in public and drivers generally obey traffic signs.]

    - I love India very much but I am aware of its failings, in the way that husbands and wives know each other's weaknesses. India has only its large population as a serious resource. There is no oil or coal to speak of; the education system is about 50 years out of date; society is undisciplined; federal and State governments are understandably regarded with contempt; over 150 elected politicians in Lok Sabha are currently under investigation for serious crimes including rape, murder and arson [for some reason, many Indians regard this as a "bit of a laugh", or proof that India is unique and admirable.] Add to this a broken down infrastructure with poor roads, dangerous airports, uncaring health service, shoddy housebuilding; a massive inefficient corrupt civil service and police-force; a violent under-society of deprived and diseased poor. BUT it is a cultured community with deep spiritual beliefs that always come to the surface when people need each other and need help. India has never invaded or attacked any other country, and that sets it apart from Russian and China, and makes it seem more like Brazil. And it is a true democracy, which may also one of its weaknesses - the majority [the winners of elections - not the same thing] treat the losers badly, as if they were traitors. That's not the idea of democracy but India hasn't learned the lesson yet.

    - Brazil I do not know at all. But can you see the problem here: it will be impossible for these countries to unite. They share almost nothing except their dislike of USA and that is not sufficient to form an amalgamation.

My advice to India is to align itself with the European Union. Britain, France, Spain and Portugal have very strong pro-Indian histories and attitudes. Germany and Austria are open-minded and seek international relations even more these days, to evade USA domination. And so it goes on.

Sorry this is so long but that's what I think.

Corruption in Russia and a Brazilian economy that continues to protect domestic producers are just two reasons to question the investment attention U.S. manufacturers have been giving to the BRIC countries -- Brazil, Russia, India and China. But pulling out in favor of Eastern Europe or Vietnam may not be the answer for many manufacturers either. Time to reconsider Mexico?
