Should Notre Dame just pick a conference?

I thought ND was already a member of the selfish all for me $ greed conference. I think BCS conferences teams should stop playing ND until they join a BCS conference. That would change their tune in South Bend

um well lets just put it this way. Notre Dame being notre dame it really does not matter because of their history they are a 13 time National Champs the BCS system acknowledge that. so if notre dame ever reached the top 5 ranked u can believe there chances of being in the national hunts are as good as any top teams in college football today and not just that The Fighting Irish are the people's Favorite, i mean how many time does The SOONERS HAS TO GET SPANKED before they finally realized that they don't deserve to play in the national thats because people love seing the sooners either they choked or win by a blow out people love seeing them in tv. and as far schedule they do have a tough schedule their rivals are in the big 10 and pac 10 that tells u alot. and honestly if notre dame move to The Sec or The big 12. they will be another Miami Hurricanes. i just dont even know y they left the BIG east if we were still there then nationals would be playing around with each other at the Orange Bowl lol Later

No, and their is no reason to. They have their own TV network (NBC), and have their own deal with the BCS, which requires them to have either 9 wins or finish in the top 12 of the final BCS poll to be considered for a BCS bowl game, which is a virtual certainty.

Their is no benefit for them to be in a conference for football.

ND likes to be different so I don't see it happening anytime soon. I think they should just join the Big East in football like they are in basketball.

They're too cheap. If they did that, say goodbye having every game on national TV. They're cheap, and why don't they play any decent games except for USC and Michigan? They have the choice, they should play some games against Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, Auburn, Alabama, UGA, Florida State, etc.

it will never happen because with notre dame's NBC contract they would have to give that up if they joined a confrence, and they would prefer to have to play Army, Navy, Temple and Washington every year instead of playing in a confrence

They are in the Big East in BB, so it makes sense for them to join in football.
