How do I tell my co-worker (in the nicest way possible) that her face could knock a buzzard off a shitwagon?

She just got one of those "beauty makeovers" at the mall and she looks like the Bride of Frankenstein.

Update:

Thanks for the great answers, peeps. I give this question about 5 more minutes

Tell her like "OMG! I didn't know you had plastic surgery yesterday! And LOOK at you, you're so devoted you came to work ANYWAY, looking like your face got hit by a Mack Truck! How long until the scarring, swelling, and bruises heal up? You definitely deserve employee of the month this August!!".

She'll be too embarrassed to even tell you that it was just a make-over, so she won't say anything to refute you. Tomorrow when she comes in, she'll be back to normal. It's a win win situation.

If this woman is hideous looking to begin with, I wouldn't say anything, because you'd make her feel bad and there would be nothing she could do to correct the problem.

If this is a reasonably attractive woman whose makeover is what's making her look bad, you might be able to hint at it by saying that you thought she looked fine before the makeover and she really didn't need it. I think whether you say anything at all, and what you say, depends on how friendly you are with this person and how well she can handle criticism. Since this is a co-worker, you might be better off saying nothing than risking a bad relationship with someone you work with and should want to get along with.

Source(s): I've been told periodically that I would look better if I dressed a little nicer. This doesn't offend me, as it is something I can easily do to improve myself. But if someone told me I was ugly or pointed out something that could not be corrected without plastic surgery or some major undertaking, there wouldn't be much I'd be able to do about it and I'd feel very hurt and self-conscious.

There won't be any way nice to make a comment like this. Someone I know had a face lift a few years back well she shouldn't have, but keep my mouth shut, because if you don't it will come back to bite you in the azz, you have to work with her. No fingers will be pointed at you about how bad her face looks but unfortunately it will be her.

Damn you. You're making me laugh sent me into a coughing fit.

Last time I got a mall makeover I looked like a high class whore, and I was 15. I got a lot of phone numbers that night.

It would be much safer for you if you simply just turned away and laughed out loud, when you are out of her hearing range. No good can come from saying anything to such a person, take my word for it.

Take the clocks off the walls tell her that another co-worker told you that her face could stop a clock and you a 4pm tee time.

Maybe it's because I'm not getting any lately but Valerie Hobson was hot in her time, and in that whole goth getup she looked even better. Maybe I'm just sick in the head.

If were in your shoes I'd take her out for a few drinks and throw her one.

i don't know how u can tell her but i never heard that before {that her face could knock a buzzard off a **** wagon} that **** is funny lmao

  • Now listen up my dear fellow. It is not your place to tell her anything! if she can look in the mirror and think she looks good who are you to say differently? She's not your girlfriend, wife, mother or even sister. So it is not up to you to tell her anything. If you do not like the way she looks suck it up, I'm sure that there are folks that may think that you are no Brad Pitt yourself! ~M~

With all due respect I mean you no insult.
