can you curl really long hair?

my hair is down to my butt, really thick, all one length and slightly wavy. when ever i curl it, it curls perfectly right after i let it out of the curling iron and then it slowly start to uncurl and by the time i'm done curling my whole hair i only have curls on the bottom three inches of my hair :( [i use hairspray]

what can i do to make them last, or are there any alternative ways to curl my hair?

I STRONGLY recommend the brand "Herstyler". the curler is expensive, but I had the same problem with my hair, and this curler works GREAT. It will keep your hair curly ALL DAY, and possibly for part of the next day. NO HAIR SPRAY NEEDED. I'm not lying. It's awesome. :) I bought the straightener and it works so much better than I expected.

You might have to cut your hair a bit shorter, and possibly get it thinned. That will make it much easier.

You could try some of these products from Sexy Hair. They have a whole line of Curly Hair products :]

Then get a good curling iron. Ask your stylist what they recommend.

    I hope I helped!

Sometimes hair curls better when "dirty". i Dont mean to say you hai is dirty, but if you wash it say on thursday, and youw ant to curl it for friday night, dont wash it before you curl it.

Also, use styling mouse's that are meant for keeping curls. you can scrunch that in yourhair before use. and then hairspray before, during AND after curling. remember, there are always products made for curly hair, so look out for those in your local cvs, walgreens, etc.

    goodluck!
