I wonder where the expression "as rough as a badgers a**e" comes from. Usually used to describe how a person feels during a hangover!

They are members of the carnivore family, in the class of animals known as Mustelids. This means they are related to weasels, stoats, polecats, ferrets and otters.

They're mustelids. In other words, they're giant weasels. Just like wolverines and otters.
