It is very easy to download or save Youtube videos to your computer, and convert to good quality mpg/mp3/mp4/etc format that is compatible for your windows media player(or other player), for you to watch those videos comfortably. Follow these steps. You don't even have to install anything on your PC:

1) Copy the URL of the youtube video

2) Go to this site: http://www.flashvideodownloader.org/

3) Paste the URL in the textbox that has a download button

4) Click the download button. This will launch a separate small window.

5) On that separate window, see the red link that shows the title of the video. Click this red link and this will ask you if you want to Save or Open the video.

6) Click the Save button. This will launch a directory window.

7) Type-in the path/filename you want the video to be named and click Save

8) Wait for it to download the youtube video, depending on your internet connection it can be fast or a little longer.

I'm using it for my Youtube video downloads.

go to file hippo.com and search for - REAL in the rhs search.

download real player as a SAVE, and install it.

use real player to watch the you tube video and there is a command to download it.

I think this will be the fastest way to download the you tube video. The website link type downloaders take ages.
