Thank you Mr. Obama!!?

Question

I want to personally thank President Obama for proving something significant.  Since the "cash for clunkers" program is virtually a tax rebate, anyone who utilizes it gets up to  $4500 in taxpayer money.  This in turn has sparked the auto industry, some are hiring more workers or bringing back laid off workers, cars are selling, some consumers are spending again, and at least part of the economy improves.  Thank you for proving what republicans have been saying for decades, that if you lower taxes, in this case by returning a substantial amount of money to the taxpayers, the economy improves. Any opinions?

Yes, but it took a Liberal Democratic President to actually make it work!  No stupid Repube NeoCon right-winger would have ever been smart enought to think of such a brilliant idea, not to mention get it passed through Congress!  Obama Baracks our country and world!! The USA spends 48% of all the military spending in the world. If they put half of that into the economy we would all be better off.

obama is an idiot and his clunker welfare--is stupid--esp since what you say is a lie--most auto states have more than 30% unemployment in those states..and the trash cars--mostly are foreign autos--obama is such a disgrace and failure-

I'm not sure about that. But, at least we have an administration finally that is smart enough to realize what works and what doesn't. And continue the things that work, and stop the things that don't.

yeah thanks for stimulating the Japan and Korean economy.....seeing how the majority of the cars purchased are foreign......and don't give me the line.....they are built here......the money does not stay here
