The Best of Off the Beaten Path?

OK, pressure is on. Taking the girlfriend to n. AZ and I need the best bars and restaurants off the beaten path around Flagstaff, Page, Sedona, and Jerome. Looking for characters, looking for great food, looking for something different. Please don't answer with a chain restaurant, it ain't what we are looking for.

Applebee's.......very good. Being from Minnesota I would have never thought of that one.

    Jerome- The Haunted Hamburger

    Sedona- Cafes along the strip

    Flag & Page are just normal with nothing really special
