eBay Buyer Won't Pay for Item - Scammer?
I had sold an item recently and the item had a bidding option and a buy it now option. With a day and a half left on the auction a lady had used the buy it now option for $150. I then sent an invoice and e-mails waiting for a response and three days went by with no reponse or payment. So through ebay I was able to get information on the buyer and the phone number. (This buyer by the way has 0 Feedback and just signed up for the account) I called the buyer, which when she answered was surprised when I told her who I was. I asked her why she hadnt paid for the auction. She was very nervous and said that her sister was the one that bought it with her ebay account and decided to buy something locally instead and now does not want the item. Is this considered a scammer and what can be done about this other than the UPI which only gets back final value fee after having to wait a month for finalization.
eBay really needs to change their rules as I cannot see how eBay is legally still running,
I would never send an item before payment. Its just in the past 2 months I've had 3 of these situations and I don't really sell much on eBay. Just tired of getting screwed.

NEVER send an item out until it has been paid for by the buyer. The buyer has 6 days after the auction ends to pay you, after 2 days, you can open an unpaid item dispute. Another 4 days and you can close the case and relist the item to sell to someone else. As a new seller, the funds will not be available to you in paypal right away, there are rules to follow to get the funds released to you. Go to paypal and read the info there. Basically, use tracking for the package and input the tracking number on ebay, then 3 days after the item is delivered, your funds will be released to you. After 90 days of selling you can request the hold be dropped - you must call paypal to do this.

I hope you didn't send the item before she paid, don't need to send an invoice normally cause they have to pay before you ship.
