How many people on here answer questions without researching their answers first?

Update:

um jareth there are many topics in here that can and should be researched LOL "how?"

Update 2:

LOL @ guest

Update 3:

oh adrift I am talking about real questions not subjective ones.

Update 4:

@ jamie...I see that alot in here lol

Update 5:

@ miss ....true that mama true that.

Update 6:

but trish you obviously didn't know the answer to one of my questions and spouted at me anyway, so this answer is actually hypocritical in a manner of speaking. Not to drag you out alone, almost everyone except two people who answered that question DIDN'T really know the answer, they spouted I was wrong before knowing the facts and my facts were right! btw trish you are one of the best answerers I know on here so I am not judging you ok? just coincidence I think you happened to answer this one and that one and they contradict.

Update 7:

not true patty, I do.

btw I didn't give any thumbs down on this. it's subjective.

Update 8:

@ propreno ....shareeeeeeee?!!! I could use it too lol (((((((hugz))))))))

Update 9:

but but but proprenooooooooooooooo I likes to munch on things with tons of legs. lol

    Favorite Answer

Since most of my answer are in Mythology and Folklore, i like to be ver presise with my answers.

    1. beuase i'm a prefectionist

    2. i want the person to learn

    3. i want to learn about what is being asked.

Most of the times i will copy and paste the material striaght to my answers then given farther explinations, while always quoting the name of the site. I like to kno that what i put in my answers is true and is in no way misleading. I hate to be called a liar.

However, there are some questions that i need no research for. I do not answer these kind of questions often, as i like to be challenged, but i find that answering them can sometimes ease my stress.

R&S i think can only benefit from more sourses in their answers, other than "Its in the bible" or it just isn't real. So some webiste other than an online bible. If you think Chrisitanity has pagan orgins, find sites to back it up and post them. if your christina find something other than the bible that can influence your answer.

Then again there are some answers that are just asking for their Karma...lately i have been in a real b****y mood and haven't been my nicest, but that never defers my research. only hurts answers like this as i have really been wanting to give smart*** remarks for the hell of it.

I won't however. Its not my personality and i refuse to let my best answer score be hurt becuase i wanted to be a jerk for a few days. People do not derserve it. sorry i am proud of my best answers, as it makes me feel i am really helping people.

Anyway, i always put research in an answer whenever i feel it may be needed or even wanted. The asker deserves that much. they need to know your not making up some bull****. Having website that reaffirm answers really helps.

Very few questions on these forums require any actual research, I might glance at a reference book to verify a date or refresh my memory but as a whole I don't answer questions on subjects I don't know well.

It depends, alot of the questions I know off hand, and some are just questions you cant really research and it is just giving advice, sometimes I don't know the answer though and I do look it up for them and get them the best answer I can find :)

I don't know about others but if I know a lot of information on the topic of the question posted, I don't need to research anything. I do research if I think I can help but don't know about something 100%

Hard to tell unless you are able to recognize incorrect information in the answer. I would assume that over half do not research question that are asking for factual information.

Depends some of it is stuff I already know and the rest I do research I don't like throwing out answers I really don't know. But for yahoo members in general.....seems like the majority of them know what they're talking about.....but there are those few people.

It depends on the question. It also depends on the manner in which it was asked. If someone acts like a jerk, even if I could give them a well reasoned answer I will more than likely crank out a smart a** one.

I only answer questions when I know much about the topic. I rarely do any research.

  • 1 decade ago

Most of them. While there are a number who do research, interestingly, they are the non-Christian folks while the Christians only know how to quote the Bible and not much else.

Once in a while i will web search something before i answer, then i tell the person what to put in to search it them selves instead of taking the time to do all the work for them. Other wise i just give my opinion to the question!
