Michael Jackson or Elvis Presley?
I pick Elvis Presley.
Why? Because now people who weren't
even alive when MJ started are all saying:
"OMG, I feel so bad for MJ's family so that's
why i'm putting a pic of him as my avatar
so it looks like im a real MJ fan".
It's all those little kddies.

No offense to fans of either, but both are very overrated. However, if I had to pick one, it'd definitely be Elvis. I mean, Michael Jackson never worked with James Burton or Jerry Reed (Burton was Elvis' guitarist for a while and Reed played on Elvis' cover of Reed's "Guitar Man" because no one could figure out how to play the guitar on it)! Of course, there is the fact that Elvis was a drug addict and that Jackson was a pedophile, but being a pedophile is much worse!
So, whether it's for who made better music or who was the better person, I'd go with Elvis.
EDIT: I'd also like to point out that Elvis doesn't deserve to be called the King of Rock and Roll. Chuck Berry, however, does deserve that title! I mean, Elvis did help to popularize rock and roll but, without Chuck Berry, Elvis would've been nothing! Then, of course, without Elvis, Michael Jackson would've been nothing years later!

I really don't like Elvis Presley. I respect him for what he did, but I just can't appreciate his music no matter how hard I try. So I choose Michael Jackson although I'm not a huge fan of his either, haha.
Although, just a point for you...don't let an artist's irritating as **** fans put you off them & their music. You could be missing out =)

Michael Jackson, duh! Michael Jackson, I was born in the mid-80s, and I have been listening to Michael Jackson's songs since I was a child. I shall forever remember Michael Jackson for his moonwalk and the charity work that he did, and the fact that he was a really talented musician who wrote and composed almost all of his songs. He entertained us for four decades and has taken us through the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s right up to the 2000s, Elvis Presley is better known to those who grew up in the 60s.

My pick would be 'Elvis' But 'Michael Jackson' deserves credit as a composer/arranger which 'Elvis' wasn't!
'Off The Wall' and 'Thriller' are absolute classics but I'm afraid the rest of his stuff leaves me cold.

Elvis.his songs are still being played decades later and will prolly forever be played.
MJ isnt even on the radio much now, except for the jackson 5,and i def dont see him being played 50 yrs from now.the only reason he was so popular was cuz he can sing a lil,and dance much better than anyone else could.being able to dance good doesnt equal lasting greatness in music history
