Seeking Top Recommended OB/GYN Hampton Roads, VA?
I am 27 and planning my first pregnancy with my husband. I am looking for an incredible OB/GYN to care for me during my prenatal care delivery and postnatal care. I had a positive test a month ago and went to "Riverside Women's Healthcare" in Newport News, VA to confirm pregnancy. They sounded wonderful over the phone. When my test came up negative they shuffled me out the door without answering any of my questions about medications I should stop taking while trying to conceive. I felt very rejected. I wasn't pregnant so "Out the door!"
I also spoke to a lady at the "Center for Women's Health" in Newport News, VA. They told me to call when I'm pregnant and they will schedule my 8-12 week ultrasound!? What about foods to avoid, what medications I should stop taking or alternative meds and prenatal vitamins!?
I'm looking for someone that, even though they deliver children all day every day, will respect the fact that I have questions and that I'm nervous and this is my first time.
I'm looking for someone who will take the time to answer my questions. If someone has had a wonderful experience with one of the doctors at one of the above mentioned clinics or have a recommendation for a place that they have had a wonderful experience, please, please, please let me know!
I would be greatly appreciative. I am a little stressed and don't know what other research to do or who else to ask. Thank you again!!

Well, this isn't based on lots of research, but I'm happy with Genis Women's Care in Suffolk, VA (located inside Sentara Obici Hospital). I, like you, like to talk to a doctor before becoming pregnant & ask questions. I have had 2 children, and am currently pregnant with twins. The doctors & nurses at Genis have not changed in the 6 or so years that I've been going there & they're all very nice. They are there to answer ?'s and the nurse returns messages left for them, the same day. I live in Chesapeake, but make the drive because I'm comfortable with! Since you're in Newport News, this may not be something you'd consider, but if I can help someone else trying to make a decision, I guess that's okay too. Good luck!

Microchipping your puppy is a could. The Humane Society here microchips each and every of the animals whilst they arrive in. they keep a log of all animals, lifeless or alive, and the microchip numbers besides. Ask the Humane Society to make certain their books on animals delivered in.
