What's the average GPA needed to transfer to the University of Florida? I currently attend NYU, with a 3.0gpa?

I currently attend New York University and have a 3.0, and I am worried because I am not doing well here and I know UF has a very strict policy on transfer students (basically they don't like them), so I was wondering would I have a chance at a tranfer??

    THE GPA PERCENTILE AT UF

88% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher

    8% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74

    2% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49

    1% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24

    1% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99

    All Transfer Applicants Must

Submit the online UF application and $30 nonrefundable application fee six to nine months before the term begins. (Please note that if paying by credit card, a $1.75 service fee will be added automatically to the $30 fee, so the total application fee is $31.75.)

Meet application deadlines. The application, application fee and ALL transcripts must be received by the deadline.

Submit all high school and postsecondary transcripts.

Official transcripts can be sent to UF in two ways: paper transcript received by UF in a sealed envelope or electronic transcripts sent from your institution directly to UF. Most Florida public high schools, universities and community colleges prefer to send transcripts electronically, saving you up to two weeks response time.

SAT/ACT With Writing test scores are required for freshmen/sophomore transfers and those applying to teacher certification programs. Official scores must be sent to UF directly from the testing agency.

SAT testing agency or call 609-921-9000.

ACT testing agency or call 319-337-1270.

Submit documentation of two sequential courses of foreign language in secondary school or 8-10 sequential semester hours at the postsecondary level, or document an equivalent level of proficiency.

Satisfy the CLAST Requirement. The College Level Academic Skills Test is designed to test the communication and computation skills judged by Florida statutes and the State Board of Education as necessary for successful performance and progression through the baccalaureate level. Passing scores on the test, or its approved alternative, is required for transfer admission.

Apply to a specific UF college and major.

Meet college and major prerequisite courses and minimum GPA requirements.

Limited access programs, teacher certification programs and programs requiring an audition generally require additional application materials.

Be in good standing and eligible to return to any institution previously attended.

Submit proof of immunization prior to registration.

Understand that meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the university.

Junior and Senior-Level Transfers (upper-division students)

Junior and senior-level transfer applicants with at least 60 transferable semester credits in course work completed at regionally accredited postsecondary institutions, or an AA degree from a Florida public community college, or 60 transferable semester credits of course work listed in the Florida Statewide Course Numbering System from a Florida nonpublic postsecondary institution.

    Requirements

    A. Office of Admissions

    Foreign language proficiency

Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA at each institution attended

60 transferable semester hours from a regionally accredited institution, or an AA degree from an in-state public community college, or 60 transferable semester credits of course work listed in the Florida Statewide Course Numbering System from a Florida nonpublic postsecondary institution.

    B. College/Major

    Prerequisite course requirements

    Required GPA in prerequisite courses

Any additional information, applications, portfolios, auditions or test scores that may be required by the college (Contact college that offers your major for these requirements)

Important Note for Upper-Division Transfers: Please be in contact with the college that offers your major to make sure you meet all requirements. Official transcripts are required from each institution attended.

Junior/Senior-Level Transfers Without AA Degrees Must

Have completed 60 semester hours of transferable academic coursework

Have a minimum 2.0 GPA as calculated by UF on all work attempted at EACH institution attended

Have satisfied all prerequisite courses and minimum GPA requirements

Be in good standing and eligible to return to any institution previously attended

    FAQ

Freshman/Sophomore Transfers (lower-division applicants with 13-59 transferrable credits)

Due to space limitations, UF is not currently accepting lower-division transfer students. Prospective transfer applicants are encouraged to remain at or to transfer to a Florida community college until the AA degree is completed.

Concurrent High School and AA Degrees

Students who will receive their high school diploma and the Associate of Arts degree at the same time should complete the freshman application. You must apply to a specific UF college and major, and you must meet college and major prerequisite course and minimum GPA requirements.

I have no clue, but I'm sure they have it on their website. Have you checked there yet? And if it's not on there, you should probably have a counselor or someone like that help you out.
