125ltr new tank ideas?

Hi All,

I currently have my new 125 ltr Roma tank cycling with a heater and dechlorinated tap water. I'm trying to find some more unusual fish/invertebrates to put in there. I already have another tank with guppies and platys in so i'm looking for something a bit more interesting and/or unusual.

Can anyone help me with some ideas??

are you wanting a saltwater? or freshwater?

if its freshwater, kuhli loaches are cool.

if saltwater get a snowflake eel. fun and interesting.

    get a baby octopus?

Bichirs are cool, carnivors though. fun to feed them minnows:P

You should have a filter if i am not wrong....(for cycling the tank)

Well, you could add some lively tetras and dwarf cichlids. Oscars and others big fish wouldnt be able to fit in.

Extrodinary fishes that can live in your aquarium are mudskippers. They are intresting and quite a rare gem in this hobby. Puffers also make intresting fishes. Rainbows and gobies male beautiful addition.

    1.) Amazon Biotope.

Creating a underwater rainforest with amazon fishes.

    - Buy some hardy and beautiful plants like Anubias, Java fern, Java moss, Water lettuce, Camboba, Amazon sword plant, Hairgrass and alot more plants. Buy some driftwood that look like roots and braches.

Your aquarium substrate must be dark and PH can be 6.5 and below and remember soft water.

    -Stocking Level

. 12 cardinals tetras, 1 pairs of rams, 1 pair of apistogramma, 4 sterbai corydoras and 3-5 hachets fish and 2 otto.

    2.)African cichlids Biotope.

-Buy a sandy substrate and some rocks to create a grand rift valley. Do lots of rocks work in the tank and after that add maybe 6-8 african cichlids in. Adding more later on if you feel you need to.Kh and Ph must be hard and high.

    3.)Asian Biotope.( For mudskipper)

-Buy a sandy base and some mangrove roots. Buy some salt tolerant plants like java moss. Decorate the aquarium like a mangrove swamp and make sure the water is lower than the sand so the mudskipper can crawl out of the water and rest. They are intresting fishes.Limit the mudskipper to 2 max. Water must be brakish. 1 Archer fish can also be add inside. Halfbeaks make intresting tank mates too!

    4.)Asian Biotope

-Buy a dark substrate or playsand substrate and buy some hardy plants and add 12 tiger and green barbs and 2 red finned sharks.

Personally, i have never kept shirmps as i think they are boring. Sorry, but for fish i can give you great advise!

    Have a read of this:

    http://www.theaquariumwiki.com/Stocking_a_Peaceful...

Maybe a nice shoal of Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish, a group of Chain Loaches (very boisterous and will eat inverts) or Corydoras (not boisterous in the slightest), some dense planting and another shoal of something else like Harlequin Rasboras would suit you?

Be careful with inverts and fish, small inverts like Dwarf Shrimp (i.e. Cherry Shrimp) would be a meal for any larger fish! And on the other hand long-arm shrimp or crayfish would make a meal of any fish they could catch!

Buenos Aires is probably the most visited town in South America, and for justification; if you intend to know why then take a peek with hotelbye . Significantly more than 400 years of age, the town is fabled for its exceptional social living and their European-influenced architecture. Also, el fragile dance, the tango, was invented in Argentina, and Buenos Aires is a great spot to get lessons or see it performed to perfection. One of the best areas worth visiting from Buenos Aires is The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (National Museum of Fine Arts), a museum that is compared with the Louvre Museum from Paris due to its outstanding collection of European and Argentine artists. In this memorial you will see an accumulation fine art, the greatest in Argentina that stages from art in the Middle Ages to the 20th century.

Hmm unusual... Ghost knife. They are the most interesting tropical fish I've seen, but they may grow too big for the tank and can be aggressive to smaller fish.

Interesting fish, are gourami's, they're relatively easy to find and not too expensive, very pretty fish.

Something that creates interest is shoals of cardinals or neons, swimming together in unison

first you have put about the tank being cycled and you need a filter before putting any fish in. the fish you could put in: tetras: neon, rummynose. siamese fighting fish: just 1! or they will fight. clown loaches. bistle nosed pleco. angel fish.

all these fish can live together but be careful with the siamese incase it has a fight with any of the other fish
