Negative feed back loops always target to maintain homeostatsis. An example would be your body is lacking insulin. Therefore, your glands secret insulin to balance it out. Once the insulin level reaches a balance, the gland will stop secreting insulin. Then later on, your body is lacking insulin again.. and then the cycle will go on again.

An occasion of a damaging feedback loop would be having the pituitary gland decrease this is production of hormones which in turn result the thyroid gland. the end result on the thyroid hormones would be to maintain blood calcium stages interior of everyday tiers. this would be a damaging loop because it stops or slows down a technique. An occasion of a beneficial feedback loop (of which there are in basic terms some) may be the pituitary glands continued production of the hormone oxytocin to maintain the exertions technique going until eventually such time because of the fact the infant is born. that's no longer a technique you will want to end, subsequently that's a beneficial (ongoing) loop. wish this helps.

The enzyme tyrosine hydroxylase is responsibe for converting tyrosine into L-DOPA which then get converted into dopamine, and norepinephrine. When the amounto of dopamine and/or norepinephrine gets too high, it feeds back and inhibits the enzyme, thus controlling it's own synthesis. This is negative feedback.

One of the best examples is that of testis hormone.
You inject FSH, the testis produces more sperms.
If you inject more FSH, testis produces still more sperms.
If you inject a little more FSH, the testis gets annoyed, and secretes inhibin, which goes back to the pituitary and asks it to stop producing FSH.This is negative feed back. If testis had asked the pitiuitary to produce more FSH, then it would have been a case of positive feed back.
