It is a fact that no immigrant is undocumented. there is no difference in cuban illegals and mexican illegals, both break the law and are the same. It is also a fact that they do not pay even close to as much in taxes as the benefits they take out. It is also a fact that our economy would do nothing but thrive without all illegal aliens whether they are cuban, mexican, german or irish!! Illegals do collect taxes by their fake and phony social security numbers or phony itin numbers. It is a fact that they take more taxes out than pay in. They are entitled to receive nothing but punishment and deportation!!

Abuse Rampant in Fraudulent Tax Returns: New Report Demonstrates Misuse of Earned Income Tax Credit

April 9, 2009 - WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Abuse is rampant in the collection of fraudulent income tax refunds from the IRS, especially by illegal immigrants -- according to a new report to be released by the Social Contract Press on April 14.

The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is the largest anti-poverty program in the United States - and the most illegal-immigrant friendly," explains Edwin Rubenstein, author of the new report. "In 2007, more than 23 million households received more than $47 billion in the EITC payments. But "between one-quarter to one-third of all EITC claims are 'improperly paid' according to the General Accounting Office. The EITC - like most of the tax code - operates on the honor system. This is very different from welfare and food stamps where applicants are interviewed and required to present proof of eligibility," Mr. Rubenstein said. According to the report, much of the so-called "tax relief" goes to people who never paid a cent in taxes, and may have already defrauded the government of huge sums each year. "EITC scams are common, well-organized, and massive," Rubenstein writes in the report. EITC ranks second out of 57 government programs in fraudulent payments. Only Medicare reported a larger dollar amount. Public policy expert, James R. Edwards, Jr., said that the report demonstrates that "EITC robs some to give to others. This is exactly the kind of so-called 'tax relief' Obama talked about during the campaign and in his sales job for his economic stimulus bill. Obama is redistributing wealth via the tax code and misleading the public by calling it tax cuts. Rather it's welfare by other means," Mr. Edwards said. "EITC has become yet another means of depriving hard-working Americans of their own resources," Mr. Edwards said.

In order for either a citizen or an immigrant (legal/documented) to be able to file taxes, they first need a valid ss#. If an undocumented immigrant (illegal) uses a fake or stolen ss#, then that is a felony and they should serve hard time in jail for this. Identity theft is a serious crime in this country, and can ruin decent hard working people.

You say all undocumented immigrants pay income taxes. Well if they do then they are breaking the law, because they do not have a valid ss# in their name.

It is people and questions like this that cause a lot of animosity towards even legal immigrants in this country. If you want to truly help immigrants, then why not volunteer to help immigrants do paperwork to legally come to the US?

Is a fact! ALL undocumented immigrants pay income TAXES! WRONG! According to the FBI 62% of "undocumented immigrants" work for cash and pay no taxes!

Those they pay taxes either claim EIC (a felony) to steal even more money from US taxpayers or claim so many dependants that they pay little in taxes!

If Americans were doing the jobs that these people are stealing there would to a vast increase in the amount of taxes collected!

The US economy would be MUCH stronger without these leeches!

No they don't deserve a check,and don't look now but the economy has tanked even with illegals that may or may not have paid taxes.

That is the price for not being documented; not being able to get any of the money back you get deducted from your paycheck. This will never change - good luck on getting proper documentation so you can file a return.

even though they work, most illegal immigrants don't pay much taxes because they declare lots of dependants on their w-4 forms and very little is withheld. and also they work construction or landscaping as independant contractors where they pay none. since they are illegal they don't file taxes in april. yet if their really sick or injuried we pay for the doctors.

Sadly NO! The Social Security Administration has tolerated illegals because they help SS stay afloat with the BILLIONS in taxes they pay every year. Other taxes they pay help many many things including locals schools and road maintenance. Medicare is still around because of these taxes that are paid and not collected to.

Here's the drill: People enter the country illegally, promptly procure bogus Social Security cards from the black market, and use them to get jobs. Eventually they get paid, and those earnings generate W-2s that go to the Social Security Administration, which tucks them away in something called the "earnings suspense file." (The government does try to notify some of the larger employers that Social Security cards they've accepted appear to be phony, but that's about the extent of its efforts to figure out where all this money is coming from.) According to the best estimates of the Social Security Administration, the fund has kept track over the last 20 years of more than $300 billion in total earnings – the vast majority of them attributable to illegal immigrants.

But those are just the figures in a ledger. The hard currency is the Social Security taxes that illegal immigrants and their employers pay on those earnings. That rings in at about $7 billion a year. Which is why you don't hear the Social Security Administration raising a fuss over illegal immigration. And to the degree that this arm of the U.S. government has friends in Congress, it could explain why you don't see many pieces of legislation calling for mass deportations of illegal immigrants. I mean, why kill the golden goose?
