Why do you think there is such a push in the USA for a "social health care system"?
Let me know why you think there is such a push in the USA for a "new health care system".
Anything from political corruption, to conspiracy theory would do for an answer.
One possible answer is that the USA has no choice but to incrementally force itself into some form socialism/communism/fascism because of its irresponsible or methodical/deliberate financial policies.
Another is that it's a diversion orchestrated by the powers that be as a diversion to conceal/keep asleep the citizens from other things.
Let me know what you think.

The HEALTH CARE system will stay exactly as it is...the only change, should change happen, is to the HEALTH INSURANCE system. The HEALTH INSURANCE industry will have some competition and a few new rules. All the other BS you hear on right wing radio and FOX 'News' is exactly that...BS. If you can mount an argument against a low cost and easily accessible 'public option' non-profit INSURANCE COMPANY, let's hear it. But to rail against a government take over of the HEALTH CARE system is a red herring if there ever was one. NOBODY has ever suggested such a thing, and for the HEALTH INSURANCE industry to try to convince people that such an idea is even possible is a fraud, a lie and totally is dishonest.

If a person becomes eligible for retirement benefits, usually there are health care coverages that come with that. Often the dollar amount of the retirement check is fixed, but the cost of health care is not.
If a particular entity had a large number of people on their retirement rolls, the health care portion of that liability could become quite substantial. That company might seek ways to avoid that liability.
There are a lot of such entities that stand to gain from that liability being transferred to the government. Big companies and Unions, particularly.
We do not have to do this. The only ones that will gain will be companies that will immediately clear billions in liabilities off of their books, and those who happen to be invested in those companies.
In other words, the very "fatcats" that the Democrats pretend to think are already bleeding the Worker dry.
This will be a huge transfer of wealth from Workers to Big Business, with just enough transferred to the non-working poor (including those here illegally whether they are working or not) to claim the mantle of "social responsibility."
But make no mistake - the real purpose is to benefit large companies who donated large amounts to politicians whose health care will not be impacted.

This is orchestrated by the left and right. It is a HUGE power grab and nothing more. Once the government has control of health care they can institute any number of decries instantly to vastly affect the lifestyle in this country. It is an Obamanation and it cannot pass, lest we say goodbye to grandpa and grandma now. That's the part in the bill where they will do "end of life" consultations to gather info on how old people would like to die. Its all very uplifting stuff.

It has been a PUSH for the last 40 years.
Health Care is 1/6 of our economy. WHEN DUBYA grew the government by 40% and MADE NO WAY TO PAY FOR IT OTHER THAN BORROW FROM OTHER COUNTRIES...... THAT (guess what) DIDN'T HELP.
NOW, ALONG WITH THE 12 MILLION ILLEGALS ( since 2000) THAT CAME OVER HERE AND REPRODUCE LIKE RABBITS.................. AND DO NOT PAY THE HOSPITAL BILL......... (might be another reason)
DID YOU KNOW THAT THE HOSPITAL CHARGES $75 FOR A MUCUS RETAINER?
What is a mucus retainer.... A BOX OF KLEENEX.
THOSE ARE A FEW REASONS.

It is because 48 million americans don't have health care and we have the highest infant mortality rate in the civilized world. We are currently rated as only 37th best in the world, there is a lot of room for improvement.

Tens of millions of Americans are uninsured or underinsured, insurance premium rates keep rising thereby adversely affecting businesses and individuals, nearly one-third of our "health care" costs go to administrative costs due to a myriad of insurance payment schemes, people who can't pay their medical bills pass on those costs to those who have insurance, all other developed countries have universal health care and have good health outcomes most of which are better than our health outcomes, our current system is 1/6 of our GDP and growing and is a drain on our economy, many Americans will die as a result of not being able to afford early diagnosis and treatment, etc.

At the top it is about control- at the bottom it is out of a naive belief that such a system is "fair" and that it will "help" people and that our present system "hurts" people

Because smart people can see that cigar chomping Fat Cat CEOs are taking to much of our health care dollar.

Its just the next step for government control of everything , total central planning of the country and the direction it is heading. The current bill is being pushed not because it makes sense or that it will help but so that the government will get its control
