ASRock P4AL-800....no video during P.O.S.T./boot?

ASRock P4AL-800 (Pentium 4 800fsb)

Bought the mobo as "new" old stock. (It's an older board but has never been used.) It came bare bones with no installation cd or any accessories of any kind. I installed a P4 3.0 ghz processor on it which was taken from a known working pc. Also installed a 3dforce mx4000 agp8x video card which is known to work ok. Installed a brand new stick of PC3200 (DDR400) 1Gb which was obtained from a reputable vendor that guarantees the memory to be compatible with the mobo. I am also using a known good 500w PSU. I'm using a fairly new LCD monitor and it's hooked up correctly. At this point, no other hardware is installed until I can get video and get into the BIOS. I switched on the power at the power supply then pushed the power button to start the pc. The fan started running in the power supply, and also the fan started running for the CPU but I have no video at all. I've tried re-seating the video card several times thinking that it may not be making good contact. Also did the same with the DIMM. Everything seems to be connected correctly and running...just NO video. I need some troubleshooting help for this problem. It's got me stumped. Help???

Update:

I tried a different DIMM module from another PC. There's still no video, but it could be that this DIMM module isn't compatable with this mobo.

I'm beginning to think that it's just a bad mainboard. So how can I absolutely confirm this?

Gotta be the mobo. You've covered absolutely everything else (save for verifying that the screen works on another computer).
