Does Lemon Juice Really Make Your Hair Lighter?

Will it look natural? I have dark brown eyebrows and light brown hair so I was thinking of putting lemon juice on my eyebrows...will that work? Oh and could I use a lime instead of a lemon?

Actually does, it does work. My sister has had dirty blond hair ever since she was little. This June she decided that she would look better if it was lighter but she didn't want to use harsh chemicals. We started searching on the internet for some reliable websites and we found this http://www.buzzle.com/articles/home-remedies-to-li...

. She did this and her hair is considerably lighter now! It is absolutely amazing; her hair is now light honey color.

If you do it gradually then it should look natural. You can always just tell people that swimming and chlorine lighten your hair.

My sister tried putting it in her eyebrows and sadly it didn't work. Sorry. :(

Possibly it could work, give it a try if you don't have lemon juice.

    I hope that I helped!

Try a product called Sun-In Hair Lightener. It has lemon extract, and you'll be able to tell the difference on the first day that you use it.

It sure as hell makes your hair smell like lemons. I'm just saying.

Also, try coloring them with a magic marker. Even better, use a Sharpie, I mean, they work when you hit a car right?
