you will need to be 18

    call a gunrange and ask.

Most will charge around $20 for the lane, targets are cheap ($1-2 for a big body shaped one, 20 cents for small ones) Renting a gun may up the cost some, maybe $10 for gun rental. Ammo is expensive. If you rent a 22LR handgun, ammo will probably be $2 for 50 rounds. If you rent a 9mm, ammo will probably be $12 for 50 rounds. If you rent a 357 magnum or a 45 acp, expect to pay $20 for 50 rounds

you should tell the range ahead of time that you are newbies. They may require you to take a class on gun safety, or they may simply have the range officer help you out. I suggest you start off by asking if they have a less busy time, and THEN tell them you are new, if they know you are willing to work with them on scheduling that will make it much more likely they will say 'come on down, we will take care of you'

If you mention you are new, the wonder if you will show up when it is really busy and demand a lot of attention.

Looking at the other answers I can see that prices vary severely. I guess it depends on where you live, if you happen to be in San Diego CA you are looking @ anywhere between $12 to $28 an hour for an indoor range that is open to the public that has firearm rentals available ( non include a rental in the price) be sure to check with the range you plan on going to first to see if you can purchase ammo elsewhere at a lower price and then shoot one of their rentals with it. Reason I recommend this is because most ranges only allow you to shoot ammo they sell trough their rentals. Oh and one more thing some ranges have some policies which might raise your costs ( peek hours, no outside ammo at all) so be sure to call first-sorry to say it twice but it might save you a trip and some disappointment

in pa you can rent guns to shoot at the indoor range.

they provide guns ammo hearing and eye protection and targets however it is pretty costly you have to rent the gun by the half hour buy all the ammo you want and buy the targets to shoot at. me and 3 friends went and had 4 guns about 200 rounds of ammo total and about 10 targets

i think it cost about $100 a person for about 1 1/2 hours of shooting maybe it was 2 hours something like that

but if you don't have any experience with guns then you need to take a gun safety course first other wise you will shoot yourself or someone else or just do something wrong and damage the gun possibly

so i would recommend reading up on guns and how to work with them go to your local sportsman store talk to them there and then take a gun safety course or go with someone who is very familiar with guns and knows how to use them safely.

most shooting ranges at least in pa are free but you have to have all your own equipment.

but if you can find an indoor shooting range they usually will provide the stuff you need

    good luck

    and be safe!

Most ranges I go to will charge you $10 to $15 per person. Regardless of indoor or outdoor.

Ammo is most certainly not provided, but they usually have some there available for purchase.

They want you to be 18 or older.

You'll need to provide a valid picture ID.

Guns are sometimes available for rent. Some ranges do this, some don't.

The ranges will have eye and ear protection available. Sometimes they will loan to you, rent or have available for purchase.

If you are doing this for the first time, I really would recommend finding someone who owns a gun and who knows how to shoot to take you out and show you how.

And remember the 4 cardinal rules of safety, which I've linked to.

It can vary a lot. There are free outdoor ranges, members only ranges and one that let you buy a day pass. Some of them rent guns and some don't. If you find one that you can rent guns at you will be charged to get in and you will need to buy their ammo which will probably cost more than at a gun store. You might have to pay for the use of each gun as well. You usually need to be 18 if you are going without a parent.

My outdoor range is $50 per year. Indoor will let anyone come in and shoot for $10 for all day. Gun rental is provided. So is ammo, but you have to pay a premium for it there. You're better off buying it at Wal-Mart and bringing it with you.

Age requirement is the legal age to posses a gun. 21 for handgun, 18 for rifle, unless accompanied by an adult. We have 10 year olds who shoot skeet at our range.

    Indoor range will cost more.

The cheapest indoor range I have seen is $30/hour, and $5 rental on a pistol. You buy your own ammo. Usually you can get it at the range. Targets are from $1-6 each.

Cheapest outdoor range I have seen is $10/day.

You will probably need to be 21.

If there is a range near you- you can call them- they will be glad to talk to you.

I would guess (depending on where you live) you could have a range trip for $50-100.

sounds to me like you need an adult to teach you yo shoot.
