4-4-2 Diamond is this formation good for Chelsea?
Well Ancellotti is going to use 4-4-2 DIamond.. but is this formation good? It lacks width.. Essien is good DM but is not known for deep-lying playmaking skill... Lampard as attacking midfielder.. Ashley Cole and Bosingwa must go forward and help attacking..
FYI, Ancellotti never utilizes wingers in his coach career. He prefers narrow formation such as 4-3-1-2, 4-3-2-1.. but 4-4-2 diamond is something new..

To the 1st answerer Drogba and Anelka can paintings properly jointly , not watch the Watford experience? besides... i might probly bypass with the 4-4-2 or 4-a million-3-2 Cech Bosingwa , Terry , Carvalho , A.Cole Mikel Lampard/Ballack , J.Cole , Quaresma/Kalou Drogba , Anelka that ought to probly paintings fairly properly....yet 4-4-2 seems to be our maximum suitable formation in contemporary seasons.

It does lack width but with Cole and Bosingwa going to be bombing up and down the wings it shouldn't matter too much!!

It could work... but are chelsea planning on starting zhirkov because you might end up benching good midfielders?
